I would like to find a site that tells you, in simple english, how to set up a web site to sell things?

I want to create a place where the fabric quilt, patterns and kits can be advertised for sale. I have a digital camera to take pictures of quilts, patterns, etc. and down to load the site, but have no idea how to create a site. He did not really want to go ebay, but always with duvets. So many customers asked my friend if you have a website and you always say no. There is little money to operate them, so any help would be appreciated. Maybe you should use a professional who sets up the site. I do not know, but there must be a way. Thank you.

You download FROM a site and upload TO it.

About the only place I know of that does the things you’re asking, is Ebay stores.

I have two websites, one for craft items I make, and one for a service I offer. I just looked at other sites and tried to be better than them. You can usually tell who they use for different services like credit card processing et cetera, so i would just Google til I decided what would work for me and be cost-effective.

I actually started on a freebie Geocities site because you can put stuff on a page without knowing html already, taking only check/mony order, til the money started coming in, then I upgraded to an ad-free host and I accept credit cards now.

If you want a program to build a website, it doesn’t come much easier or cheaper than Web Studio (www.webstudio.com) It is just click and drag. No complicated language or skills. The possibilities are endless, the support is great, and you could share the cost with a friend and build more than one website. I have limited computer skills and no web designing skills but it was easy to build my site with Web Studio. They have a free trial period. Check mine and see. http://www.victorianpincushions.com

http://www.doggydomains.com has a quick shopping cart that makes setting up a store easy. Remember you also need a domain name, SSL certificate, and merchant account. You can get everything right there though and they have 24/7 support to help you get started.
