I can almost picture a magazine with a similar quilt–did the cover say something like “build you best log cabin ever”? If so that was the Better Home’s and Garden quilt mag. for sure…
But, as an “old” quilter, I will say that sometimes my best quilts are the ones I started with a pattern, but misplaced the pattern and then just let my own creativity take over… the quilt will be great with your own artistic spark in it! You can do it! Good luck!

I guess you could try the magazine web site, if that’s the one the previous answerer mentioned…if not, be brave…stick with the vision in your head and go with it…start doing blocks and lay them out as you go to get the composition you like. It probably won’t be just like the one you saw, but close….plus, it’s all yours.
